Physical hazards
Physical hazards are:
Employer must apply measures to avoid or minimize the health damage caused by the physical hazards.
The internal climate of the workplace (air temperature, humidity and air movement speed) must be suitable for performing the work; workplaces must get fresh air. When determining the suitable internal climate, consider the number of people in the room, the mental and physical workload of the employees, room size, the specifics of the used tools and technological process. Legislation does not prescribe any specific numbers for the internal climate parameters – when evaluating the internal climate, consider the work characteristics and the wishes of employees.
The noise and vibration in a working environment must be at such a low level which prohibits or minimizes their harmful effect on employees – even in long-term exposure. In the case of work presupposing concentration, thinking, deciding and communication, noise may not prohibit the fulfilment or work tasks. Noises may also not disturb the comprehensibility of audio signals.
