Interrupting or Postponing the Vacation

Viimati uuendatud: 19.02.2017

Regardless of the fact that scheduled vacations must be given to the employee as schedule, law prescribes cases when, on certain conditions, the vacation could in some cases be interrupted or postponed. Both the employer and the employee have the right to interrupt or postpone the vacation.

When interrupting or postponing the vacation, the employee is entitled to use the unused part of the vacation as soon as the circumstances which triggered the interruption or postponing have ended, or at other suitable time (on mutual agreement between parties). In this case, it is irrelevant whether the vacation was interrupted or postponed due to circumstances related to the employer or employee.
